Legal Notice of Completion of Tentative Assessment Roll
(pursuant to Section 506 and 1526 of the Real Property Tax Law)

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Vernon, Oneida County has completed the 2023 Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and a copy has been filed with the Town Clerk at the Town of Vernon Town Hall where it may be seen and examined by interested persons until the fourth Tuesday in May. The Tentative Assessment Roll may also be viewed online any time at : https://ocgov.net/realproperty, then go to 2023 Tentative Assessment Rolls.
The Assessor will be in attendance with the 2023 Tentative Assessment Roll at the Town of Vernon Town Hall on Monday, May 8, 2023 9am-1pm, Thursday, May 11, 2023 9am-1pm and 6pm-8pm, Saturday May 13, 2023 9am-1pm.
The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) will meet with the public on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 4pm to 8 pm at the Town of Vernon Town Hall, 4305 Peterboro Rd, Vernon, NY, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to such assessments for which a proper application (RP-524 :available at https://www.tax.ny.gov/forms/orpts/assessment_grievance.htm) has been filed by any person believing themselves aggrieved. The complaint application must be complete and filed with the Assessor no later than 24 hours before May 23, 2023 by email (dmunger@townofvernon.com) or US mail (Assessor, Town of Vernon, PO Box 643, Vernon NY 13476).
